Purchase a home…check

Feb 23rd, 2008 by Thenera | 2

I have completed something on my list. I am officially a home owner again. I purchased my first home when I was 22 in Baltimore Maryland and loved it. When I started a job in DC three years later I commuted for a year before finally deciding that it would be easier to live closer to my job. With my travel schedule, it seemed like I was spending all my time either traveling for work or traveling to work. So I sold my house and for the last 4 years I rented saying every year that I would buy again. It has finally happened but instead of buying near work, I have once again chosen to live away from my job. It has been impossible for me to achieve work/life balance in DC and so I am leaving the nation’s capitol and heading north. I will telecommute and plan on giving less of my personal time to my job and devoting more of it to me. But more of that later…

So the house…I am moving to Jersey (that is something I never thought I would say). :)  I love my new place and am looking forward to being in a new city. I am hoping that like when I sold my previous house, this will be the start of a completely new phase in my life. But unlike last time I am making the focus of the move me rather than my job.

Congratulations on the move for you. I talked to Adesua today, and she let me know that it’s all about New Jersey for you and your sister now. Take care and enjoy life for you!!!
