3 lbs. and counting
So I have lost the first three pounds of my 30. This was extremely surprising since I have eaten at least one mint chocolate Oreo cookie each day this week ( and three on Saturday). But I did make several other changes to my lifestyle since making this decision to lose some weight. I drink three to four huge sports cups of water a day. I started taking the stairs instead of the elevator in my building and eating smaller portions. These small changes probably account for the little bit of loss but I am going to have to get a little more serious to really lose the rest.
I have been paying monthly for Weight Watchers online since 2003. Every time I decide to lose weight again I start tracking and counting points again. I had great success in 2003 and always hope that I will have the same experience again. My major problem is that I travel so much that it is difficult for me to count and stay focused while on the road. Nothing can ruin a diet faster than a 4 hour delay and airport food. I also end up eating at several restaurants for meetings and it is often hard to chose the healthy option.
But no more excuses. I was so excited to see the scale tell me good things this week I want to see that every week.
